She Is:
A Partnership for the Future: Berhlan and She Is Foundation

The She Is Foundation empowers girls and women through education, inclusion, and the development of skills in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM), creating real opportunities in vulnerable communities.

At Berhlan, with over 25 years of experience manufacturing care solutions for the home, fabrics, air, and people, we believe that care also means creating environments where girls can dream big and reach their full potential.

That’s why we joined the She Is Foundation as allies of the “She Is an Astronaut” program. Through this initiative, we helped make it possible for Sheccid Vanesa González Ramírez—the daughter of one of our team members—to take part in a unique educational experience at NASA’s Space Center, after being selected among thousands of girls in Colombia.

We also took part in the She Is Global Forum, the most important gender equity forum in Latin America, reinforcing our belief that our commitment to care goes beyond products—it’s about people, dreams, and opportunities.
At Berhlan, caring for you moves us. And caring for the future does too.

Our Commitment to Recycling:
Partners for a Cleaner and Fairer Future: Berhlan and ASORATE

At Berhlan, we wake up every day with a clear purpose: to continue caring for people, homes, and businesses. That commitment also extends to the environment we all share. As part of our sustainability strategy—and aligned with Sustainable Development Goal No. 12: Responsible Consumption and Production—we’ve joined efforts with ASORATE, the Association of Environmental Recyclers of La Tebaida.

We believe that today’s recyclers are tomorrow’s leaders in building a sustainable future. To achieve this, we must redefine their role within the recycling chain. This partnership aims to strengthen their work, elevate the dignity of their labor, and take real steps toward their formal recognition as a public services enterprise.

Our support has included:

  • Specialized professional consulting in key areas such as environmental management, project planning, law, and sustainability.
  • Initial financial support to improve cash flow and ensure faster payments to recyclers.
  • A formal agreement that sustains and strengthens this partnership for the recovery and transformation of recyclable materials.

ASORATE currently has over 30 active members who collect more than 3.5 tons of recyclable materials each month under basic operational conditions.
Our goal is to support their growth by improving access to technology, streamlining administrative processes, offering training and opening connections to new markets—generating meaningful environmental and social impact from the heart of Quindío.
At Berhlan, caring for you moves us. And so does caring for our environment and those who protect it.
